Meet The Face Behind Prewitt Hardwood Floors Inc

I’m Richard Prewitt, the proud owner of Prewitt Hardwood Floors Inc.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I’ve always loved carpentry and wanted to become a master of the woodworking craft, so I joined as a sports flooring contractor in 1982. I enjoyed the installation, sanding, and finishing aspects of the business.

However, I noticed a lack of craftsmanship in the industry and wanted to raise the bar. So over the years, I continued to upgrade my skills, including carrying out international courses in the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Denmark.

By 1999, I had accumulated enough experience to start a hardwood flooring enterprise of my own. Once I established the company, I brought my sons on board, and I’m proud that they are following in my footsteps.

We operate as if we are working for the Lord, and I believe what sets us apart is our honesty and integrity. I also attribute our success to our dependability as we stand by our jobs which has enhanced our reputation.

We used to undertake many custom installs, but now custom stains are more in vogue, which allows us to add considerable value to a home. Therefore, it’s rewarding to upgrade old floors with beautiful new looks that last a lifetime and can be enjoyed by several generations to come.

When I’m not installing flooring, I love to build furniture, take motorcycle rides, and fly fishing.
